Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, HTR5A RNA is linked to patient survival in 14 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated HTR5A data layer compared with 11 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where higher HTR5A RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated HTR5A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LGG and KIRP show a favorable association.
LIHC, UVM, and KICH are the cancer types where HTR5A RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
