Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, HTR1D RNA is linked to patient survival in 29 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated HTR1D data layer compared with 8 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher HTR1D RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated HTR1D expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BRCA and OV show a favorable association.
HNSC, BRCA, and LIHC are the cancer types where HTR1D RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
