Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, HSD17B7P1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 8 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated HSD17B7P1 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher HSD17B7P1 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated HSD17B7P1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as ESCA and OV show a favorable association.

KIRC, ACC, and LGG are the cancer types where HSD17B7P1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
