Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, HSD17B11 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated HSD17B11 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher HSD17B11 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated HSD17B11 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.

LUSC, BLCA, and UCEC are the cancer types where HSD17B11 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
