Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, HSD11B1L Mutation is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated HSD11B1L data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher HSD11B1L Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated HSD11B1L expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
SKCM are the cancer types where HSD11B1L Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
