Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, HS3ST2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated HS3ST2 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher HS3ST2 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated HS3ST2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as STAD and UCEC show a favorable association.
HNSC, SCLC, and LUAD are the cancer types where HS3ST2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
