Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, HPGD Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated HPGD data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in brain lower grade glioma (LGG), where higher HPGD Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated HPGD expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LGG, UCEC, and SKCM are the cancer types where HPGD Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
