Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, HOXD11 RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated HOXD11 data layer compared with 2 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher HOXD11 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated HOXD11 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and ESCA show a favorable association.

KIRP, STAD, and BLCA are the cancer types where HOXD11 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
