Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, HOATZ Mutation is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated HOATZ data layer compared with 28 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in thymoma (THYM), where higher HOATZ Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated HOATZ expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
THYM, UCEC, and LUSC are the cancer types where HOATZ Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
