Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, HNRNPA1P58 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of HNRNPA1P58’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where HNRNPA1P58 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types HNRNPA1P58 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as LUAD and KIRP show the opposite, repressed pattern.

LUAD, KIRP, and BRCA are the cancer types where HNRNPA1P58 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
