Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, HMG20B Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated HMG20B data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher HMG20B Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated HMG20B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
SKCM and COAD are the cancer types where HMG20B Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
