Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, HLA-DPA3 RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated HLA-DPA3 data layer compared with 2 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher HLA-DPA3 RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated HLA-DPA3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and ESCA show a favorable association.

HNSC, ESCA, and SKCM are the cancer types where HLA-DPA3 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
