Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, HIGD1AP16 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 5 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of HIGD1AP16’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in cholangiocarcinoma (CHOL), where HIGD1AP16 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types HIGD1AP16 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as LUAD and KIRC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
CHOL, COAD, and LUAD are the cancer types where HIGD1AP16 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
