Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, HIGD1AP12 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of HIGD1AP12’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where HIGD1AP12 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types HIGD1AP12 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as COAD and READ show the opposite, repressed pattern.
COAD, READ, and LUSC are the cancer types where HIGD1AP12 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
