Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, HEXB Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated HEXB data layer compared with 30 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher HEXB Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated HEXB expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LUAD and LUSC are the cancer types where HEXB Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
