Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, HDAC9 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated HDAC9 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 10 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), where higher HDAC9 mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated HDAC9 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
GBM, PDAC, and LSCC are the cancer types where HDAC9 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
