Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, HCN1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 19 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated HCN1 data layer compared with 11 for mutation status and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in mesothelioma (MESO), where higher HCN1 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated HCN1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as ESCA and PAAD show a favorable association.
MESO, THCA, and LIHC are the cancer types where HCN1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
