Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, H3P33 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of H3P33’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where H3P33 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types H3P33 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA and KIRP show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BRCA, KIRP, and LIHC are the cancer types where H3P33 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
