Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, H2BU1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 25 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated H2BU1 data layer compared with 3 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher H2BU1 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated H2BU1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BRCA and LGG show a favorable association.
KIRP, COAD, and BRCA are the cancer types where H2BU1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
