Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, H2BC2P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of H2BC2P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where H2BC2P RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types H2BC2P is over-expressed in tumor.
LIHC are the cancer types where H2BC2P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
