Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, H2AJ RNA is linked to patient survival in 28 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated H2AJ data layer compared with 5 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher H2AJ RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated H2AJ expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BLCA and OV show a favorable association.

HNSC, KIRC, and BLCA are the cancer types where H2AJ RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
