Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, H1-3 RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated H1-3 data layer compared with 4 for mutation status and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC), where higher H1-3 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated H1-3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as DLBC and UVM show a favorable association.
ACC, LGG, and THCA are the cancer types where H1-3 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
