Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, H1-1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 17 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated H1-1 data layer compared with 3 for mutation status and 5 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC), where higher H1-1 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated H1-1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD and UCS show a favorable association.

ACC, KICH, and LGG are the cancer types where H1-1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
