Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GUCY2EP RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 6 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of GUCY2EP’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where GUCY2EP RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types GUCY2EP is over-expressed in tumor.

KIRP, LIHC, and HNSC are the cancer types where GUCY2EP tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
