Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GSTA12P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 4 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of GSTA12P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where GSTA12P RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types GSTA12P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as CHOL and LIHC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
HNSC, CHOL, and LIHC are the cancer types where GSTA12P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
