Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GRIN2B RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated GRIN2B data layer compared with 8 for mutation status and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney chromophobe (KICH), where higher GRIN2B RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated GRIN2B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCS and SCLC show a favorable association.
KICH, UCS, and LUAD are the cancer types where GRIN2B RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
