Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GPR142 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 6 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of GPR142’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where GPR142 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types GPR142 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and COAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.

THCA, COAD, and BRCA are the cancer types where GPR142 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
