Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GPR1-AS RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 5 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of GPR1-AS’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where GPR1-AS RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types GPR1-AS is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC and COAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.
KIRC, HNSC, and COAD are the cancer types where GPR1-AS tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
