Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GPM6B mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated GPM6B data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher GPM6B mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated GPM6B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC show a favorable association.
UCEC, LSCC, and HNSC are the cancer types where GPM6B mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
