Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GPC5-AS2 RNA is linked to patient survival in 10 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated GPC5-AS2 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in esophageal carcinoma (ESCA), where higher GPC5-AS2 RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated GPC5-AS2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as ESCA show a favorable association.

ESCA, KIRC, and KIRP are the cancer types where GPC5-AS2 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
