Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GPATCH2L RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 7 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of GPATCH2L’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where GPATCH2L RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types GPATCH2L is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and BRCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.

HNSC, LIHC, and THCA are the cancer types where GPATCH2L tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
