Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GOLGA8T RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 7 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of GOLGA8T’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where GOLGA8T RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types GOLGA8T is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and BRCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.

THCA, BRCA, and KICH are the cancer types where GOLGA8T tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
