Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GOLGA8O RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 7 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of GOLGA8O’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where GOLGA8O RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types GOLGA8O is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and BRCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
THCA, BRCA, and HNSC are the cancer types where GOLGA8O tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
