Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GOLGA8F RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 4 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of GOLGA8F’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where GOLGA8F RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types GOLGA8F is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BRCA, THCA, and KIRC are the cancer types where GOLGA8F tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
