Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GOLGA6L9 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 9 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of GOLGA6L9’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where GOLGA6L9 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types GOLGA6L9 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and HNSC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
LIHC, COAD, and THCA are the cancer types where GOLGA6L9 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
