Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GOLGA6D RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of GOLGA6D’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where GOLGA6D RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types GOLGA6D is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.

BRCA are the cancer types where GOLGA6D tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
