Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GOLGA6B RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 6 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of GOLGA6B’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in cholangiocarcinoma (CHOL), where GOLGA6B RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types GOLGA6B is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as CHOL and LIHC show the opposite, repressed pattern.

CHOL, KIRP, and LIHC are the cancer types where GOLGA6B tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
