Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GOLGA6A RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of GOLGA6A’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where GOLGA6A RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types GOLGA6A is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and CHOL show the opposite, repressed pattern.
THCA, CHOL, and KIRC are the cancer types where GOLGA6A tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
