Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GOLGA2P11 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of GOLGA2P11’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where GOLGA2P11 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types GOLGA2P11 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BRCA, LIHC, and LUAD are the cancer types where GOLGA2P11 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
