Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GJA6P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of GJA6P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where GJA6P RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types GJA6P is over-expressed in tumor.
STAD are the cancer types where GJA6P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
