Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GJA3 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated GJA3 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher GJA3 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated GJA3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
HNSC, KIRP, and LGG are the cancer types where GJA3 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
