Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GC Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated GC data layer compared with 17 for mass-spec protein and 8 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher GC Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated GC expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
UCEC, STAD, and LUSC are the cancer types where GC Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
