Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GC mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 8 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated GC data layer compared with 17 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where higher GC mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated GC expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as GBM show a favorable association.

COAD, LUAD, and UCEC are the cancer types where GC mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
