Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GAU1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 19 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated GAU1 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher GAU1 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated GAU1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and READ show a favorable association.

KIRC, HNSC, and ESCA are the cancer types where GAU1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
