Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GATC RNA is linked to patient survival in 24 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated GATC data layer compared with 4 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where higher GATC RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated GATC expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and SCLC show a favorable association.
LIHC, MESO, and LGG are the cancer types where GATC RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
