Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GAPDHP34 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 6 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of GAPDHP34’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where GAPDHP34 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types GAPDHP34 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and ESCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
THCA, KIRP, and ESCA are the cancer types where GAPDHP34 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
