Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GAL3ST4 RNA is linked to patient survival in 24 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated GAL3ST4 data layer compared with 5 for mutation status and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in brain lower grade glioma (LGG), where higher GAL3ST4 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated GAL3ST4 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and CESC show a favorable association.
LGG, HNSC, and CESC are the cancer types where GAL3ST4 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.

Ranked by sampling consensus. AUC1 and AUC2 indicate survival in the high- and low-expression groups, respectively; the lower AUC marks the poorer-surviving group. p-values are from the log-rank test.
