Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GAL3ST3 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated GAL3ST3 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher GAL3ST3 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated GAL3ST3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.

HNSC, LUAD, and MESO are the cancer types where GAL3ST3 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
