Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GAL3ST2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated GAL3ST2 data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher GAL3ST2 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated GAL3ST2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
SKCM and COAD are the cancer types where GAL3ST2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
