Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GAK Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated GAK data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney chromophobe (KICH), where higher GAK Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated GAK expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and STAD show a favorable association.
KICH, UCEC, and SKCM are the cancer types where GAK Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
